Turtle Neck Bandwagon

Crop top - Internacionale, Skirt, rings, boots, faux fur - H&M, Belt - Primark, Leather Jacket - Motel

Today I bought this pretty little crop after I jumped onto the turtle neck crop top band wagon.  I've wanted one for ages, but never got around to buying one!  Today I did after my search for simple tees and in my disappointment  I bought this.  Thus, satisfying myself again.  I'm slightly annoyed now though, as its so so see through!  Should have just spent an extra few £££ and gone to Toppers!  Oh well.

Pretty simple outfit really.  I wanted to highlight my lovely new boots which I also got today for tha bargain price of £25.  I couldn't resist!  Especially after wanting a pair like them forever!  I was coveting chelsea boots in a similar style, but after having no luck I decided to just buy these babies instead.  I'm a happy chicka!  Definitely on the way to satisfying my need for new things, but let's wait until I get paid before I go all out.  Woo!

Once again, I apologise for the poor pictures.  As soon as it starts to warm up, I'll get them taken somewhere much nicer than my bedroom.  It's beginning to wind me up how crap they look.  Think I need to invest in a tripos to thoroughly crush this issue.  Anyway.

I'll have a mini haul up tomorrow; literally mini, mini.  So yeah.

Good night, I'm off to read Beautiful Creatures in the desperate hope that the book is better than the film.  Or good day...depending when you're reading this.

Ripped Trousers

Jumper/Vintage//Trousers/Topshop//Bag/Primark//Shoes/YesWalker//Faux Fur Stole/H&M//Chain Necklace/H&M//Lipstick/Topshop in Inhibition//

My day has consisted of maths and science revision, watching Austin Powers and falling over in the street.  Whilst falling over in the street, my beautiful pleather trousers ripped.  Sad sad times, but no worries and I fixed them with my sewing machine *party*.  Outfit photos were made possible!

Short post today as I'm off to do lots of Rarity work!  Love you guys.

Turtle Neck, Leather and Rose Gold

(excuse grumpy face! Also excuse the wonky faux fur below)

If we excuse my grumpy face and really wonky faux fur, I really loved wearing this outfit.  It feels to me like it didn't photograph as well as I might have liked.  I felt really confident in this outfit, it made me feel like myself wearing something I absoltuley love.  I love wearing outfits and every single piece you wear, you are in love with.  Especially when it all goes together.  It's like a happy little fashion marriage for the day.

Most of what I'm wearing is all in my Christmas haul which should be up very soon (went to upload it and I realised I hadn't saved it properly and now it's just sorting itself out... Hopefully be up tomorrow or the day after).
All the photos are taken in my boyfriend's dining room/his 'chill out' space, as he is 17 and shares his bedroom with his 7 year old brother, so he get's half of the dining room for him to basically live in.  Hence the guitars (he's a very very good musician, if I say so myself) and also the dining room chair peeking into the photo.  Also, apologies for the lighting.  Having a rather bad issue aren't I!

So today I went shopping (again) and just got a few jewellery bits, picked up some shoes from the post office (post be up in the next few days) and watched some films with Lewis (boyfriend).  Rather lovely day!  I didn't aim to dress up, I wanted to be quite relaxed and comfy but still in my own style and make it a little cooler with the trousers.  Mainly, I got the trousers a few days ago and haven't had the chance to wear them yet and I've just been itching to, so!

Black, Gold & a little bit of Faux Fur

Peplum/H&M//Jeans/Topshop//Shoes/Topshop//Leather Jacket/Motel Rocks//Faux Fur Stole/Topshop/Lipstick/Topshop in Beguiled//

I'm well aware this outfit it beyond boring, but in a way, I really liked the simplicity and sophistication of it in all of it's plain black glory.  But then again, some of the most amazing outfits can be all black.  Think Valentino AW12 and Dolce and Gabbana with the gold & black shoes (post on the HOTTIES very soon).
As the outfit I was all black, I felt like having a tad more fun when editing (although all I do is play with colours and use crop!) and went for a blue-y theme today.  Don't worry, this isn't going to be a regular occurrence, it's just a bit of fun.
I wore this outfit to go to a friends house for the evening, so it was very casual but I think you could smarten this up with maybe a blazer, some heels and some tapered trousers rather than jeans.
I'm thinking of doing a smart worky/school look book?  What do you guys think?  Leave me comments with what you think!
There's also a video for this look and when it's up, I'll leave a link here for you!

Studs, Spikes, Faux Fur and Embellishment Blues

Now, I'm not sure about you beauties but I'm having a bit of a fixation with statement jewellery as of late.  By statement jewellery I mean mainly silver and gold jewellery embellished with studs, spikes, chains and gorgeously gothic, possibly dangerous pieces.  Not only jewellery, am I tormented by but also all forms of accessories; be it a faux fur stole (which I heavily praised in a recent OOTD), a sequin trim on a dress or a scattering of spikes on a shoe.
Obviously my inspiration began on the runways back in February this year with various offerings of embellishment and gothic glory.  But since then, all the street style and look books have infused a huge desire on my part of needing more of these items in my life.

(I don't own any pictures; various from Pinterest, Jameela Jamil for Very, Primark, Tumblr and Google)

It's a perfect transition from the la-de-da-ness of S/S's girly, princess, cutesy fairy land.  Not to say that I didn't enjoy dressing head to toe in pastels and dressing like a dainty little darling.  Or wanting to but have the lack of suitable clothing to work with.  ANYWAY.
Statement jewellery and luxurious accessories just twist every outfit into something else, something one thousand times better.  Something enviable and utterly desirable to every other stylish woman out there.  They want your style, maybe they even want to be you.

I think what I'm trying to say is that jewellery, in any form, can completely change a persons day-to-day outfit to something that isn't at all day-to-day and more 'I'm a stylish, sophisticated yet urban and chic'.  Totally cool and green-eye provoking.

On a less happy note, I have two weeks worth of exams starting tomorrow so posting will be even more irregular for a while, but when that is over I'm really planning on stepping up my game.  You will have much better, well written post fuelled with a lot more effort on my part.  Lots more OOTD taken in better backgrounds with better quality where I can and an upcoming look book (will also be up on my YouTube channel) along with my favourite S/S13 runway shows following my Jonathan Saunders post as well as many other exciting things including my new position writing for a friend's magazine...keep reading and all will be revealed soon!

My burgundy heritage land of dreams

Stole/H&M(old)//shirt/Topshop//Jumper/New Look//Trousers/Primark//Boots/Faith at Debenhams//socks/H&M(old)//bag/Primark(old)//Necklace/Topshop

I was feeling very layer-y this morning.  I fancied making a jump at the heritage trend once again with my tweed Primark trousers and keeping it simple with a white shirt.  But, knowing me, I wasn't happy with that.  I felt too boring and plain so I gave the look more of a luxe feel with the stole.  Now, incase you haven't seen all the bloggers going on about stoles and their luxe-ness I'll just simply re-iterate.  A faux fur stole is an essential piece (for me anyway) for A/W simply because its makes any outfit immediately more glamorous and elegant.  I don't think it matters what colour your stole either - it could be brown, dark brown, in this case - black, or a mix of them all.  A faux fur stole can always win over an outfit and give a more elegant feel.  When I went out I threw on my tan boyfriend coat from New Look last year just to finish off with that heritage-y British vibe.

I later found this stunning jumper in New Look for £19.99; it was everything I had wanted in a jumper.  Oversized, burgundy, comfortable, on trend.  It had to be mine.  Now it is. Lalalalala.
Believe it or not, this oversized jumper is a six 6.  For a girl size 8-10 to have an oversized jumper that is size 6 you may be suprised, I am too.  This leads to wonder; was it labelled correctly or is it actually a perfect jumper?  I can only image (had my store had an 8) that my own size would have been the epitome of perfection - jumper wise.  New Look, you've done good.

Naturally, I couldn't wait to put the jumper on over the outfit I was wearing and blog it.  So here it is.  Apologies for the non-descriptly rubbish photos, my camera wasn't in the mood apparently.  I'll be sure to have better photos soon!  Expect a post on my trip to Paris, new dresses & my LFW SS13 favourite soon.

Lots of love x
