Blazer, belt - Primark/Jeans, Tee - Topshop/Necklace - H&M/Shoes - YesWalker
I love the simplicity of this outfit and I'm still really into monochrome. It's definitely going to be one of my favourite trends for spring...but I'll have to inject some colour into my wardrobe somewhere. Mind you, I'm pretty comfortable in my black and white style recently...need to 'spice' things up!
I've filmed a haul & an OOTD of this, so they should both be up soon. But for the moment, I need to go and do things. So, enjoy!
These are my recent purchases over the last week or so, so I thought I'd share them with you! Even though I'm currently saving up a bit of money to go for a big shop in the half term, so there isn't a lot. Still thought it would be good to get this up though, so enjoy!
As featured in my last post...The Lacey Jeans! Who else is in love? I am. Very deeply.
They're so gorgeous, they're just the perfect mixture of slouchy boyfriend and nice fitting so that I don't look like a huge fatso.
May I just note that all this week, whilst I've cut most of the crap out of my diet, I have significantly slimmed (or so I have noticed - no one else has, but whatever!) so these jeans are already a few inches too big... But still wearable nontheless.
Anyway, yes, they're fabulous.
The clutch is from Primark (£2!). I wasn't in search of a clutch at all, I just walked past and saw that it was only 2 pounds and felt I would not miss out on the little cutie. Infact, I was in search of the belt (also only £2) but as I was sort of rushing, I managed to pick it up in a M/L instead of S/M which is majorly frustrating so I've made a hip hole but not yet a waist one. To be honest, I was expecting it to look great with loads of things, but in reality it doesn't look so good on me. I think it might be my short legs...I don't really know.
As for the little beauty pieces, they're all from Fragrance Direct, except the moisturiser. Incase you haven't heard of Fragrance Direct, its basically a super cheap beauty site and in total my purchase of Bourjois foundation and concealer, a brush and Essie nail polish came to £10 including P&P. How bloody good?!
Unfortunately there is a really limited amount of shades so I was lucky that the foundation and concealer actually matched to me as there was literally about 4 shades to pick from, I just chose the lightest. The Essie polish only had about 6 options to choose from which was gutting but I love the pink colour! It's just SO cute. Then we come to the brush. I was expecting the brush to be a mini but not as mini as it is! I was a little dissapointed but for one pound something I didn't really mind.
Then the moisturiser! So it's Olay Essential Beauty Fluid. The box claimed to make my skin utterly beautiful and soft and lovely and I think it's aimed at an older age group to myself but I still am really liking it! I usually go for a different Olay one, but I'm glad I went for this one instead!
Okay, so this was longer than I expected it to be. Next time I do a haul, I'll either make a video or I'll just take individual pictures and write small captions. Anyway, hope you like what I bought! Have you bought anything you're particularly happy with recently?
Oh and I also filmed an OOTN recently so here it is:
Today's outfit came out on camera a lot worse that it looked in person. In real life, I love it, but in image form it doesn't look too great. Nonetheless! You may have noticed I am wearing black cigarrette trousers. Before you think it, I shall say it; yes I do wear these to school a lot. But who cares? They're a key trend for SS so why not embrace them as an important part of my wardrobe? I finish school in June anyway, then they're all mine to wear for any occasion. Horrah.
I've got to go and get on with the last of my textiles coursework now, but before I do I have an announcement! I made a tumblr! It goes with the new theme of my blog - crystallised fashion.
I hope you all like it, I'm really enjoying all the inspiring pictures, they're so pretty. I only really have it for that, I don't want to get involved with all the strange things that go on that website, I'm there for the pretty pictures only! So, I won't be using it on a personal basis and writing updates about myself - that's why I have Twitter! But if you do want to ask me things and whatever, you can do so on there as I'll make sure to answer. I always make sure I check out people who follow me on there (like I do on Twitter) and follow back people's blogs that I like so, yeah. Anyhow, enjoy.
P.S Does anyone know where I can buy magazines like LOVE or i-D in the UK? From shops preferably! Any other cool magazines that aren't in every corner shop. Or like must read fashion books. Let me know please!

'What have you done today, Megan?' you might ask. Well, I made a skirt. The one in the outfit and it cost me a total of £3 to produce. Much cheaper then going to Topshop or the like for something similar...I'm so happy with it!
I've just filmed my Christmas haul and within that you will see that I got a sewing machine for Crimbo. I've wanted one for a good few years to make my own clothes and try and save money (as I'm dreadful at saving :-( ) So yeah, since Christmas (bearing in mind I was away for 3 days - machine-less!) I've made this skirt, another one, in a different fabric, a pair of shorts, 2 bags and a few random things. Pretty good going I say!
I went to the fabric shop a few days ago and got the houndstooth print fabric along with some crushed velvet but I'm still wondering what to do with the velvet. I could make another skirt (from Toppers the equivalent would be £30 odd) or a really nice pair of shorts... I'd love to learn how to make a blazer so I could make a velvet shorts suit. That would be so cool! But I imagine blazers are very difficult...Maybe I'll ask my sewing teacher to help me. Or if you guys know, comment, it would be so helpful!
Anyway, I'm loving my new tshirt too! I wore it with some amazing leather trousers I got in the Topshop sale and my mum said I looked like I was from Wham....Hmm. My bag is new as well and despite it being really quite boxy and feeling plastic-y, it's gorgeous. What else do you expect from Primark, though? It was such a bargain at £12 I couldn't resist.
Oh, and I decided not to crop all of my room out of the photos as I really don't like just having a rectangle for an outfit photo, I'd rather have my messy room in the picture! I really should start taking pictures elsewhere....Oh well!
I hope you guys have all had a brilliant Christmas and as it's the 31st of December, a fantastic New Year! I'm really looking forward to spending it with all of my friends, yay! What are you guys doing and what are you wearing? I'll definitely get some pictures of my evening and my outfit up in the next few days. Maybe, I'll post my resolutions and look back at them this time in 2013.
